At Rangimarie Bush Centre, we recognise the huge amount of effort it can take teachers and youth leaders to put a camp together. For this reason, we want to do all the hard work for you. We will liase with you to create a program for your stay - then you simply turn up and leave the rest to us! We will provide instructors from dawn to dusk who will run the whole camp and ensure that all participants get the most from the experience. As part of the camp, we can also work with you to teach a wide variety of NZQA standards which can be internally assessed by your school.

For new schools, we invite teachers to visit for a free overnight stay (see the events page for next date) so they can appreciate what we have to offer, with no obligation to book afterwards!

What's included:

• Design and delivery of a full camp programme suitable for your group's needs
• Accommodation in cabins for a maximum of 38 people.
• Skilled, passionate instructors for all activities (including cooking and overnight in the bush, excluding overnight in cabins).
• Menu design, including dietary requirements.
• All food for your stay.
• All consumables (toilet paper, tea towels, cleaning products).

What's not included:

• Transport to and from site (we can recommend transport options).
• Supervision of students overnight (when not in the bush), discipline and liaising with parents.

Cost of camp:

Cost per day is $100 per student / $65 per supporting adult. Minimum charge of $1,000 per day (equivalent of about 8 students and 3 adults). For bookings over 30 students, two adults attend free of charge. All prices include GST.

We charge per day rather than per night. We won't book any other groups on the same day as you arrive or leave, and you can then pick your arrival and departure times to maximise your stay.

Tree planting camps If you help us plant some trees on a 3-4 day camp between May and August 2026 we will give you one day for free! Contact us for details.
